Sorry to all for the lack of reports but it's been busy moving houses all around trying to stay on decent numbers of fish. This past weekend was pretty decent fishing for most of the guys. Few groups got there limit both days while a few came up just short and one group didn't do much at all. So the houses have been moving a lot looking for the better bite. Lately some crappies have been showing up no numbers yet but I've been seeing 2-3 a day. Good mix of perch were I've been fishing with some big pike also. Still the smaller the better on the presentation with bait and hooks. Glow red, pink and blue jigs or spoons have been doing well but plain red #6 hook is still hard to beat. As of now we will still be fishing the mud in 15 ft for the weekend as the shoreline bite has not started to produce yet. Only 2 weekends left for the walleye season and I did have a couple cancellations for the last weekend so if your looking to make a trip back up give me a shout. Good Fishing..... Ryan

Well the fishing
has been fairly consistent lately with limits being caught by most.
Lately I've been fishing 14-15 ft with a mix of rock, gravel and
mud. Still seeing some good perch numbers with some 11-12 inchers
the last few days. Pike action has slowed with only a few smaller
pike coming through the holes lately. If your coming up I've been
seeing smaller is better bait, jigs, spoons, and hooks. Colors are
gold, glow red, pink, and green. Good Fishing..... Ryan
01-12-2012 Sorry for the lack of reports lately but its been really busy on the lake. The weekend was average to great for the fisherman I had in. The guys that worked at it and stayed on it did very well and if you didn't mind just waiting for a rattle reel hear and there you did average. All fisherman got there limits and some so couldn't complain. As of the last two days fishing has slowed considerably though with the back side of the full moon, cold front and strong northwest winds. I suspect the fishing will gradually get better as we start to warm back up over the next few days. I am now out 4.5 miles in 16 ft with mud bottom and the fish are there the guys keep telling me it's getting them to bite. Good numbers of perch are showing daily so that helps out with the slow walleye bite. Few pike between 30-36 have been caught. Good Fishing......Ryan
Happy New Year!
I was hoping the year was going to start off as it ended but that
didn't happen. Friday and Saturday had pretty good fishing with
most getting limits fairly easy and some houses doing exceptionally
well catching 30+ walleyes. Then came Sunday! Cold front moved in
and the wind blew out of the northwest all day 25-40 MPH, I watched
the fishing really slow down. The guys were still catching some
fish, most houses had around a dozen for the day but the bites were
really spaced out. Lately the big fish seem to be the aggressive
fish. Lightly jigging macho minnows with glow blue or green has
been working or just the plain red hook with a fathead on a set line
has been producing. Not many perch have been showing up in the area
I've been fishing but I've seen two pike in the last 3 days break
the 40 inch mark. Tonight is another cold one but then were warming
up for the weekend so I suspect the fishing will improve everyday
this week. Today we got all the roads opened back up after the big
blow so come on up and get in some fishing!
12-29-2011 Well the bite was a bit slower for most guys today and seems the fish are also running a bit bigger on the spot I'm fishing.
These two guys both broke the 27 inch mark today within 15 minutes of one another while I was out checking on everybody. Tomorrow I will be relocating all the houses with some going to a small rock pile and some going out to center bar. Good Fishing... Ryan

Well it's been a busy week so far on the lake with fisherman. Monday I had all the houses set early in the morning and full by noon with customers, with all the vehicle traffic and wheel houses coming on the lake I watched my bite turn to the worst ever of the season. Early Tuesday morning I started moving houses one by one out away from the crowd that had congregated around me. By early afternoon all houses were moved and everybody was back catching good numbers of fish. Most houses had around the 20 fish mark for the day and some much better. The best bite seems to be in the 13 ft range with pink, red and green glow jigs or just a plain red #6 hook. This morning the action was still going well for all but around 10 a.m. it really slowed up through the afternoon. I've been seeing a lot of small pike in the buckets this year compared to others and decent numbers of perch most being 9-10 inches. As for the ice, I haven't seen anything less then 15 inches and most places 18-20 inches. Good Fishing... Ryan
Well It's been a busy week on the
lake so far but the fish are really biting so I figured I'd let
everyone know whats going on. Today I finally got the last of
the houses on the ice and ready to go. I've had a few people in the
houses everyday this week and all have been getting limits. For the
next two weeks I'll be fishing some rocky points 2 miles west of
Jr's Corner Access. I checked the ice again today and never found
anything less then 13 inches on the road down there. As of
Monday we've been driving vehicles out of the access and I've pulled
out all my big houses with the truck. Jr and I marked a road to
Center Bar the other day and never found less then 11 inches the
whole way. Today a few guys went out there and said they caught
close to 100 fish. As for my houses there seeing 20+ fish a house
the last few days 9-11 ft of water. Yesterday Glow Red, Green and
Blue jigs worked best Fathead or Shiner but today it was a small
Fathead plain red hook. Keep checking in or feel free to call and
ask. I'll try to keep everybody updated.

Well another ice
season is just a few days away and I wanted to update you all on
what's going on at Red Lake. I'm still going to be running my
houses out of the south shore access but, I'm switching to JR's
Corner Access. Check out "winter" tab for a map and directions.
JR's Corner Access offers showers, bathrooms, fish cleaning
facility, full bar, and menu.
As for the fishing,
8-10 feet of water has been producing a great bite. As of now, the
shoreline off the access in the afternoon/evening is the best time,
with a few fish scattered throughout the day. Coming off the lake
this evening I seen a couple guys who said they caught some big Pike
this afternoon in 6-8 feet of water.
Good Fishing...
